Nancy Kovack

Native to Flint, Michigan, Nancy Kovack was an undergraduate at the University of Michigan at 15, a radio deejay at 16, a college graduate at the age of 19, and the holder of 8 beauty contests by 20. Kovack began her acting career in New York as one of Jackie Gleason's "Glea Girl" followed by, later with increased recognition, The Dave Garroway show (1953), Today (1952) and Beat the Clock(1950). Kovack's Hollywood acting career began with a stage role. The actress signed on with Columbia after completing the project. Later, she racked up an impressive list of episodic television credits and won an Emmy for a 1969 appearance on Mannix (1967). Kovack is the wife of the renowned and famous conductor Zubin Mehta, of the New York Philharmonic, publicly declares that Susan McDougal a key figure in Whitewater has recently deceived her (to the tune $150,000). The actress has been featured five times on the comedy show Bewitched (1964), three of which portrayed Darrin Stephens' ex-catty love interest Sheila Summers. Her father was a senior executive at General Motors. She lives with her husband Zubin Mehta in Los Angeles, California. In 1954 she graduated from the University of Michigan Ann Arbor in Michigan.
